Just a few months after surpassing the $5 billion mark, the leading creator commerce platform, Kajabi, has announced that its creators have surmounted $6 billion in gross merchandise volume (GMV), also known as creator revenue. Since 2017, the GMV of Kajabi has increased by more than 1,500 percent.
Creators on Kajabi continue to benefit from the platform’s direct-to-creator philosophy, which empowers entrepreneurs to own their audiences, brands, and revenue in a manner that generates consistent income independent of social media platforms and brand deals.
Matt Steffanina, the founder of DNCR Academy, discusses how removing his audience from social media helped him achieve new financial objectives. At one point, his YouTube videos averaged 30 million views per month, which is unfathomable. However, despite his channel’s tremendous growth, he was unable to effectively monetize the majority of that content. He was awaiting brand partnerships or algorithmic alterations. Building his community and transferring his followers from social platforms to a subscription model like Kajabi was a game-changer that enabled him to earn over seven figures and take control of his future.
Since reaching $5 billion in GMV, Kajabi has introduced several disruptive innovations, such as a series of generative AI tools that have reduced creator time spent on content creation by 90 percent; its own payment processing solution, Kajabi Payments, has processed over $25 million in creator revenue since its August launch; and the branded mobile app, enables creators to build their own unique mobile application experiences without any complications or a high cost.
As Kajabi entrepreneurs approach $9 billion in revenue by the end of 2024, Kajabi remains committed to assisting them to monetize their audiences regardless of their social followings, transform their side hustles into profitable full-time businesses, and retain 100 percent of their earnings.
Julie Soul, CEO of Soul Sparklettes Art, an online art project program for homeschooled students, discusses how much she earns despite having a modest social following.
Karla Lim, the founder of Written Word Calligraphy, a calligraphy school, discusses how Kajabi helped her passive income stream. Initially, her business relied heavily on the time-consuming fabrication of wedding invitations. With Kajabi’s assistance, she is now able to earn a passive six-figure income, allowing her to operate her business according to her own preferences, mentioned by Julie Soul.
The company will take Kajabi Payments global in 2019, prioritizing expansion into Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, and the European Union. The newly released solution makes it easy for creators to manage all facets of their payment processing, from collecting payments to processing refunds. The additions of Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Afterpay have increased creator conversion rates by as much as 10 percent, resulting in thousands of dollars in additional revenue for creators.
Kajabi is expanding its Branded Mobile App to improve the user experience for millions of mobile users, who consume approximately 40% of creative content. The May launch of the custom-branded app gives producers a user-friendly, affordable, build-your-own option to extend their brands beyond desktop and fully own their audiences. Push alerts, community, and livestream capabilities will allow Kajabi users to participate in discussions and attend live classes, meetups, and webinars on the go in 2024.
