LTK, the platform behind Creator Commerce, is revolutionizing its app to become video-centric, enhancing the way creators connect with their communities daily. With this transformation, LTK introduces two new features: Full-Screen Continuous Video and Daily Drops.
Now live, Full-Screen Continuous Video is an immersive, shoppable video feed that showcases a creator’s videos back-to-back. This feature offers a continuous and engaging viewing experience, designed to strengthen relationships between creators and their communities, build trust, and provide inspiration. Shoppers can tap on any video on a creator’s LTK profile to start the full-screen feed, which will auto-scroll to the next video or can be manually swiped.
Fresh Content Every Day
Daily Drops is a new section on the LTK app home screen, making it easy for shoppers to view the latest shoppable video content published in the last 24 hours from the creators they follow. When users open the app, they will see a dedicated section at the top of their screen. Tapping on a creator’s profile picture in this section launches the full-screen video experience. A creator’s profile image will be surrounded by an interactive ring that will indicate any unwatched Daily Drops, thereby guaranteeing that users never miss new content. Videos in Daily Drops remain for the first 24 hours after posting but continue to be available in the creator’s LTK feed, allowing for continued earning potential. Each video will feature the creator’s recommended products at the bottom, making it easy to shop directly from the video.
The Power of Video in Creator Commerce
Video content is more crucial than ever for creators, driving higher sales and engagement compared to other formats. On the LTK platform, shoppers purchase twice as much from video posts, and creator videos generate 65% more click-outs to retailer sites and apps. A recent report highlighted that almost 70% of Gen Z identify as video content creators, underlining the importance of video in today’s digital landscape. LTK’s investment in video capabilities not only enhances the user experience but also boosts creators’ earning opportunities, with video content shown to increase earnings by up to about 48%.
Kit Ulrich, LTK’s General Manager of the Creator Shopping Platform, highlighted the company’s commitment to making the LTK app the premier destination for creator-audience engagement. He stated, “As A16Z said ‘software is eating the world,’ today ‘video is eating the world.'” By making LTK a video-first platform, they enhance creator earnings by meeting shopper preferences.
Global Availability and Future Rollout
The implementation of Daily Drops will commence in the coming weeks, and LTK’s Full-Screen Continuous Video feature is now available globally. LTK’s continuous endeavours to improve the purchasing experience, satisfy the increasing demand for video content, and assist creators in optimising their earnings and reach are reflected in these innovations.
In conclusion, LTK’s new video features, Full-Screen Continuous Video and Daily Drops, mark a significant step in transforming the app into a video-first platform. These features ensure that creators can confidently reach their communities while offering shoppers a seamless, engaging, and shoppable video experience. As LTK continues to innovate, both creators and shoppers can look forward to a more dynamic and interactive journey on the platform.
