The Trade Desk, a global leader in advertising technology, has made an announcement on changes to its senior leadership team in order to further promote the company’s growth strategy on a global scale. Jed Dederick is elevated to the position of Chief Revenue Officer, while Tim Sims is given a new position as Chief Commercial Officer. Both of these promotions happen simultaneously. Both Sims and Dederick will be responsible for reporting to Jeff Green, who is the Co-Founder and CEO of The Trade Desk.

According to Jeff Green, CEO and Co-Founder of The Trade Desk, “The Trade Desk has grown more rapidly and won more market share in the previous four years than at any point in our history,” stated Green. “These leadership appointments ensure that we are well-positioned to continue on that high-growth trajectory,” Green added. “I have had the pleasure of working with Tim and Jed for a considerable amount of time, and I could not be more thrilled to witness them assisting The Trade Desk in accomplishing its visionary expansion objectives while simultaneously delivering the finest possible level of customer care.”

Having just been promoted to the position of Chief Commercial Officer, Sims is now accountable for overseeing the global client services organisation of The Trade Desk in addition to the global inventory teams belonging to the company. By virtue of this new function, key commercial teams that are essential to the accomplishment of The Trade Desk’s growth strategy are brought together. Over the course of his ten years of service at The Trade Desk, Sims has worked his way up through the ranks of the organisation, most recently holding the position of Chief Revenue Officer. Prior to that, he held the position of Senior Vice President, Inventory Partnerships.

The advertising industry is undergoing fast change, and the reach of our supply side collaborations is expanding as a result. Sims made the statement that “at the same time, our clients are trying to make the most of these collaborations in the context of ground-breaking technological advances, including Kokai.” I am excited about the prospect of bringing together these important teams as part of a new commercial organisation that will ultimately work to strengthen the company’s position as the market leader.

By virtue of his more than twelve years of service at The Trade Desk, Dederick has been elevated to the position of Chief income Officer, where he is accountable for the creation of income throughout the entire organisation on a global scale. Previously, Dederick held the position of Chief Client Officer, in which he was responsible for managing the company’s most important brands and client relationships.

“We have an amazing chance to partner in new ways around the world, bringing strong innovation to their fingertips,” said Dederick. “As more companies and agencies embrace the power of data-driven advertising, we have the opportunity to do so.” “Our industry-leading customer assistance has always been one of our strengths, and I am excited to build on that tradition in my new job,” the individual said.
