Adobe commissioned Forrester Consulting to perform specialized analysis on how legal teams in APAC view and use digital document workflows and e-signatures to benefit their companies. The abrupt move to a virtual working environment has highlighted the constraints of paper-based operations.
Legal departments were pushed to implement cloud-based technology, such as digital document workflows and e-signatures, to quickly update their document management operations. Only 25% of participants indicated their legal document procedures are currently digital, putting the legal department behind every other corporate department in terms of document digitization.
Cloud-based capabilities, digital document workflows, and e-signature capabilities are core technologies that organizations should use to stay up with and maybe even lead digital transformation initiatives. The first step is to evaluate the capabilities of providers approved by local governments and authorized by regulators in order to narrow down the electronic documents processes and e-signature solutions that are most suited to the demands.
