Respected executive with years of connected television, retail media, and data and targeting experience will lead new sales development for brands, agencies, and DSP partnerships.
TripleLift, an ad tech platform that elevates digital advertising across all screens, has appointed Bob Coon to the newly-created position of SVP of U.S. Sales. Coon will be responsible for new sales development related to brands, agencies, and DSP partnerships in his new position. He will report directly to Ed Dinichett, Chief Revenue Officer, from the New York office of the company.
TripleLift is the market leader in programmatic Native advertising and is highly regarded for its innovative solutions, premium formats, and intelligent targeting across display, online video, and connected television. The company has expanded its supply of high-quality CTV inventory, offering onsite and external solutions for retail media, and has recently announced TripleLift Audiences, a targeting solution that is effective in cookie-constrained environments.
The ability to fathom the customer’s needs is fundamental to sales. Dinichett stated that success will follow after achieving this. Having worked alongside Bob at Amazon, he said that he can attest to the fact that he prioritizes his customers. This is essential for TripleLift, as they have maintained a customer service satisfaction rate in the majority across our entire customer base, which includes brands, agencies, publishers, and platforms.
Coon has concentrated on CTV, Retail Media, data, and targeting for over a decade. He joins TripleLift most recently from Samba TV, where he served as Chief Revenue Officer, assisting large brand and agency clients in leveraging streaming and linear television data to increase reach and efficiencies. During his tenure, he shifted the company’s entire revenue organization strategy towards its data and measurement products, concentrating on Samba’s Data as a Service (DaaS) offering.
Prior to joining Samba TV, Coon spent thirteen years as a sales executive at Amazon Advertising, where he helped the company become an industry giant. He drove initiatives for Whole Foods and Fresh Stores across search, display, video, in-store, and out-of-home advertising. In addition, he launched and supervised go-to-market sales for Amazon’s video products, including FireTV, Freevee, and Thursday Night Football.
Coon stated that collaborating with clients provides him with so much vitality. He mentioned that based on his experience launching platforms such as Freevee, that senior client partnerships are often crucial to the success of a product. One of the factors that drew him to TripleLift was their ability to market current and prospective offerings in this manner.
Throughout his career, Coon’s experience at Samba TV and Amazon, as well as previous positions at InterActiveCorp, Bankrate, and Disney, has enabled him to manage large global teams.
“TripleLift launched our first-party data targeting product, TripleLift Audiences, earlier this year, and we are continuing to develop new tools for retail media networks,” said TripleLift CEO Dave Clark. “Bob’s background at Amazon and SambaTV is precisely in line with where we are and where we’re going. After conversing with him, it is evident that we will be adding a knowledgeable expert and a driven leader.”
